Thinking for a Change is an evidence-based practice offered in Noble
County through the Probation Department. This program was developed by Jack
Bush, Ph.D., Barry Glick, Ph.D., and Juliana Taymans, Ph.D. for the
National Institute of Corrections, and is endorsed by the
Indiana Department of Correction. The program helps offenders learn how
to change their behavior though three steps: social skill development, problem
solving skill development, and cognitive restructuring.
The Noble County Probation Department offers this class at a nominal fee and
will accept referrals through the Noble County Courts, Noble County Bar, and
the Noble County Probation Department. This is a closed class, meaning
offenders must participate in the class from the beginning through the end,
attending nearly all of the 22 classes offered over the 11 week period.
For information about the program or to make a referral, contact Officer James
Hunt of Officer Chris Jansen at (260)-636-3116, or by email at
