In Noble County, the Noble County Public Defenders’ Agency represents individuals charged with Felonies, Misdemeanors and also Juveniles. The Agency through the years handles approximately 70 % of all A through C Felonies; 50% of all D Felonies; and 30% of all C Felonies filed in Noble County. They also handle anywhere from 40 to 50% of all juvenile cases filed in the County. Overall, they are presently handling nearly 50 % of all criminal and juvenile cases in Noble County.

During this period of time, they have brought back savings to Noble County of approximately One point Five Million Dollars. During this same period of time, their budget was approximately One Million Dollars meaning the County has had returned nearly Half a Million Dollars since the formation of the full time Public Defenders’ Office. The present staff includes 5 attorneys with over 120 years of legal experience and 2 staff members with over 25 years experience.
